Restaurants and Cafes

The number of restaurants, cafes, wineries, tawerns and bars in the Free City was much bigger than today. Most of them were destroyed in 1945 like the reast of the city. But tradition of some of them are still known. The most known restaurants were "Der Lachs" (Pod £ososiem), producer of famous liquor "Danziger Goldwasser" and "Danziger Ratskeller" located in the basement of Artushof, they still exist. Here you can see how the restaurants looked before the war.
