The first information about Zoppot is dated on 1283, but during the centuries it was only a small village near Danzig. In 1823, the doctor from Napoleon's army - Jean Haffner, charmed with beauty area, built here the first bath house. A year later, also from his initiative the first cure house was built and in 1827, first mole. One of the most famous Baltic seaside resort started its history. Before the war, thousand of tourists came to Zoppot for the casinos and the longest wooden mole in Europe (512 m).
