Port of Danzig situated at the mouth of Vistula river and the sea resort that has been existing since 17th century. Firstly, Nowy Port - New Port (Neufahrwasser) was a part of Oliva area, in 1807 it was connected to Danzig. As a result of increasing the transferring goods in old port in Danzig, the New Port was enlarged. The new settlement, for port workers rose around the port.
