Little village near Danzig. In 1178 cysterian order founded the the cloister here. Oliva is known for the great sea battle in 1627, during the Polish - Swedish war. Oliva is famous of the beautiful park - Park Oliwski (Schloßpark) with the Abbots' Palace and the cathedral church. The cathedral was built near the cloister in 1579 - 1779 and the famous organs, made by Jan Wulf are still efficient. Other attraction is the zoological garden, picturesque situated in the forest on moraine hills - one of the biggest and most beautiful in Europe.
